Guacamole recipe – Simply make your own avocado dip
One of Henrik’s hobbies is to develop new dip creations again and again. For this purpose, we now have a large amount of all kinds of spices with which we often try out different combinations.
Of course, the classic dips and sauces such as those from our Aioli recipe, fresh smoked salsa or creamy homemade hummus are not to be missed when we invite guests or simply enjoy snacking something in front of the TV.
One of these classics is guacamole, a fresh avocado dip from the Mexican kitchen. The name is derived from the Nahuatl word „ahuacamolli“ and means avocado sauce. In addition, lime, coriander and usually garlic and pieces of tomato should not be missing.
In this recipe, we will show you how to make simple guacamole yourself.

Ingredients for the guacamole recipe
Preparation of the Guacamole
1. First chop the coriander and cut the tomatoes, onion and pepperoni into small pieces. Leave out the soft, liquid part of the tomato and also the seeds of the peppers, if you don’t like it that hot.
2. Cut the avocado in half and remove the core. You can either use a spoon or cut the core with a knife and then loosen and pull it out like a screwdriver. Spoon out the flesh and put it in a bowl.
Puree all ingredients for the guacamole
3. Squeeze the lime and add the juice to the bowl. Crush the avocado and mix it with the lime juice. The juice prevents the guacamole from turning brown and improves the taste.
4. Now add the remaining ingredients and mix them all together to a nice creamy guacamole. If you like, you can add a pressed clove of garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve the homemade guacamole with nachos or grilled food.
